Lockdown locks tended to at Coventry care home as hairdresser returns

A COVENTRY care home has welcomed back hairdressers after new guidelines enabled salon visits.

Residents at Anchor’s Trinity Lodge care home in Coventry are now able to get their tresses tended to professionally for the first time in months thanks to the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Anchor’s Trinity Lodge care home manager Kim Slade said residents were absolutely delighted to get their hair cut.

“Residents love having our hairdresser come in.

“It is great for their wellbeing and it’s so wonderful to see the smiles on their faces as they show off their new hairdos. They all look fabulous!”

As many services in England have been closed, residents at Anchor’s Trinity Lodge care home have still been able to enjoy salon treatments thanks to the hard work of the care team who have stepped in.

Although residents have enjoyed these pamper sessions, there was great anticipation for professional haircuts to resume.

Anchor’s Trinity Lodge care home resident Joyce Robinson, 81, said: “It’s great I can get my hair tended to, professionally.

“The care team here do a grand job pampering us but it’s just not quite the same as our hairdresser coming in.”
