London Northwestern Railway community fund closes tomorrow

Coventry Editorial 10th May, 2022   0

LONDON Northwestern Railway (LNR) has launched ‘Your Community, Your Fund’ to support projects which inspire local people to get involved with the railway.

The scheme will be available to local communities and social enterprises in need of funding to develop or finish a project across LNR’s network.

Every project’s main goal should be to benefit their local community as well as the station.

The fund has helped to bring a number of projects to life in the past, including the regeneration of Nuneaton’s station gallery.

Final submissions must be uploaded by tomorrow, with LNR selecting the successful communities and social enterprise groups and announcing them by May 30.

All of the projects will need to be completed by February 2023.

Each successful project will receive support from LNR’s team throughout its duration to help bring their visions to life.

London Northwestern Railway’s head of stakeholder and community, Tim Bellenger said:

“The scheme offered a variety of communities and social enterprises the chance to enhance their local railway last year, and I can’t wait to see the work we’re able to achieve this time around.

“The railways are such an important part of the communities they operate in, and our funding not only inspires individuals but gives them the opportunity to make a difference too.

“It’s great to see the impact we can make when we come together.”
