COVENTRY College will host a Summer Careers Fair from 9.30am to 1pm on July 19 at its Swanswell Street campus, writes Daisy Dillon.
People of all ages will be able to discover local job and career opportunities, including training programmes or work placements, and get some inspiration for their next steps.
Attendees can speak with some of Coventry and Warwickshire’s largest employers and get support to hone their CV-writing and interview skills.
The event is free to everyone and will feature more than 20 employers including Severn Trent, Anchor Care Group, Derry Building Services, Gray Dawes Travel, West Midlands Police, South Warwickshire NHS Trust, the Royal Navy, Army, RAF and many more.
College partners form the National Careers Service and Coventry JobCentrePlus will also be on hand to help students and the wider community.
Emma Ingram, Coventry College’s head of employer engagement, said: “We are looking forward to the return of our Summers Careers Fair after such a successful event last year when it returned for the first time since the pandemic.
“We hope to make a real difference to people in the areas and help them put their best foot forward, and we cant wait to see everybody on the day.”
