A MAN in his 50s has been taken to hospital with a head injury after being involved in a collision with a Stagecoach bus in the city centre.
The incident took place at around 1pm on Saturday (July 31) on Trinity Street, near The Flying Standard pub.
Police cordoned off the scene while paramedics treated the pedestrian for a serious head injury before transporting him to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW).
The road was reopened later that afternoon.
The incident comes just months after a Stagecoach bus crashed into the side of the Sainsbury’s supermarket on Trinity Street, killing seven-year-old passenger Rowan Fitzgerald and 76-year-old pedestrian Dora Hancox.
