THE LTB showrooms have a new exhibition celebrating the beauty of Coventry Cathedrals’ modern stained glass by giving visitors the chance to view it in an entirely new way.
The exhibition features photographs by Coventry artist Mary Courtney which are projected onto seven large screens in a darkened room and set to atmospheric music and candlelight.
The photos focus on ten nave windows flanking both sides of Coventry Cathedral, which were designed by Lawrence Lee, Keith New and Geoffrey Clarke in the late 1950s and reach 70 feet high.
Visitors will be able to see zoomed-in details of the glass, where they can view brush strokes, scratchings, crowns and flames.
There are also images of John Thornton’s medieval stained glass from the ruins.
Admission is free with the exhibition running between midday and 4pm on January 20.
The LTB will be closed to be demolished on February 18.
