A DRIVER and passengers had a lucky escape when a bus crashed in Coventry this morning.
The incident happened in London Road around 9.05am when the bus collided with a mobile monopole phone mast and cabinet.
West Midlands Ambulance Service and Coventry Police attended.
A WMAS spokesperson said an ambulance and paramedic officer were sent to the scene where the driver had sustained minor injuries.
He was given self-care advice and was discharged at the scene.
There were no other injuries reported.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.15am today (October 18) to reports of a bus which had crashed into a communications mast on London Road, Willenhall, in Coventry.
The coach driver received minor injuries.
