MAGIC was in the air in Coventry last weekend as the Festival of Witches and Pagans returned to the city.
Over 2,000 people gathered at the Heart of England Conference Centre for the event, which featured a witches ball, a viking battle, feast nights and opening and closing rituals.
The festival also included a special ritual in honour of Coventry legend Lady Godiva.
This latest event also welcomed druids for the first time, including one of the country’s most prominent members, TV presenter and author Kristoffer Hughes.
Kristoffer worked for His Majesty’s Coroner for over 30 years and is now a Welsh language television presenter and actor.
Other activities included healing and self-love rituals as well as workshops such as spellcraft, wand making, crystals and flower crowns.
Festival-goers also enjoyed yoga and meditation sessions and family entertainment.
The Festival of Witches and Pagans was first launched in 2021 by a coven from Coventry and was set up to remove taboos around the practice.
It has since grown to become a twice-yearly event.
The festival has now announced it will next visit Coventry on May 11 and 12.
