A COVENTRY restaurateur was in court today (March 9) charged with the murder of a city man.
Kirithas Sriskantharajah, from Church Way in Bedworth, appeared before Coventry Magistrates Court this morning over the murder of a Foleshill Road resident, who has not yet been named.
The 48-year-old victim was admitted to hospital in the early hours of Thursday, March 5 after being assaulted at his home the previous day, and died later that morning – a post mortem revealing he had died from an assault.
Sriskantharajah has since been remanded in custody to appear at Leamington Justice Centre on Wednesday, March 11.
The 20-year-old woman, who was also arrested on Thursday, has since been released on police bail, while a 39-year-old man from Holbrooks has been arrested this morning in connection with the incident, and is being held on suspicion of murder.
