A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of harassment of two women targeted on Coventry streets.
It follows police releasing an image of a man they wanted to speak with in connection with the separate incidents.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said yesterday (May 20): “A man has been arrested on suspicion of harassment following two incidents in Earlsdon, Coventry that took place in April.
“Two women were approached in Spencer Avenue and Warwick Road by a man making inappropriate comments and harassing them.
“The 44-year-old was arrested in the Earlsdon area of Coventry today after information came in following an appeal for information was issued on social media yesterday (May 19).
“The man remains in police custody this afternoon.”
We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeal on social media.
The police is urging anyone else who has been a victim of harassment or inappropriate behaviour to come forward.
