Man arrested after body found in Holbrooks flat

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man’s body was found in a flat in Coventry

Police attended an address in Langlodge Road, Holbrooks, just after 11.30pm on Thursday, February 12 following reports that a man had been stabbed.

On arrival the body of a 44-year-old man who is believed to have died from a knife wound was found.

A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder from an address in Earlsdon is currently in police custody.




Detective Inspector Warren Hines is investigating the man’s death.

He said: “We have officers at the scene carrying out forensic examinations and we are speaking to local residents to establish exactly what happened.


“Early inquiries lead us to believe the arrested man and the deceased knew each other and that this is an isolated matter.

“Formal identification is yet to take place but the man’s next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.

“A post-mortem will take place later today to determine the cause of the man’s death.”
