A MAN has been charged on suspicion of attempted robbery after an incident in Bedworth.
David Burke, aged 45 and of no fixed abode, was charged yesterday (June 14).
The attempted robbery took place on Church Way on Tuesday (June 13) with the suspect allegedly grabbing the victim’s bag and demanding money.
The victim was then reportedly punched in the stomach when she refused, but her stepson arrived and detained the suspect until police could arrest him.
Burke will appear in Warwick Crown Court on July 13.
