Man charged after five people attacked in Coventry

WEST MIDLANDS Police have charged a man in connected to an attack outside a Coventry retirement village.

The incident happened on Wednesday morning (June, 26) outside Earlsdon Park Retirement Village.

Officers were called after five people were assaulted and two officers who attended the scene were also assaulted, thankfully, no-one was seriously injured.

A 46 year-old man from Cheylesmore was detained and has now been charged with assault and wounding offences.

He was appearing before Coventry Magistrates Court today (June, 28).
