Man charged after loaded shotgun found at bike crash scene

A MAN has been charged with firearms offences after a loaded shotgun was found following a motorbike crash in Coventry last month.

A West Midlands Police dog tracked a discarded bike helmet and loaded shotgun at the scene of a motorbike crash in St James Lane, Willenhall, Coventry, on July 25.

On Thursday, officers executed a warrant at an address in the Willenhall area of Coventry where Shaun Paul Reeves, 26, was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

The force said: “Shaun Paul Reeves, from Willenhall in Coventry, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a firearm without a licence, aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop at a road traffic collision, harassment and other driving offences.”

The 26-year-old was due to appear at Leamington Magistrates Court on Saturday (August 17).
