A MAN has been charged following a police chase through Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull borough.

Officers spotted a vehicle on the A46 near Leamington during the early hours of Thursday morning (July 19) after the driver allegedly failed to stop for police.

It was spotted again in Burton Green before police pursued the car for over half an hour through Berkswell, Meriden, and Coventry, during which another car tried to ram officers.

The first car was eventually abandoned in Park Wood in Tile Hill, Coventry.

Shortly after at around 1.30am, Justin Scott-Horscroft from Coventry, was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, failure to stop, possession of a knife, driving without insurance, and driving without a licence.

The 18-year-old will appear at Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court today (Friday).

Police later found and seized the vehicle which had rammed the police car and are continuing their investigation to identify the driver.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
