A MAN has appeared in court charged with assault after a staff member at a supermarket was attacked.
Aaron O’Loughlin, 33, of Coventry, has been charged with criminal damage to property valued under £5,000, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, assault, and theft from a shop.
The charges follow an investigation by officers after staff at a store in Warwick Road were threatened and assaulted on February 24, shortly before 8.20am.
O’Loughlin has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Warwick Crown Court for sentencing on March 26.
