Detective Inspector Stuart Mobberley, from West Midlands Police CID, said: “Our thoughts remain with Pavandeep’s family and we have specialist officers supporting them during this deeply distressing time.

“We have been following a number of lines of enquiry and I would still urge anyone with information, and who has not spoken to us already, to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Speaking after her son died on April 1, Pavandeep’s mother Amarjit Kaur said: “Someone has taken the life of my son and I don’t want anyone else to have to go through the pain that we are now going through.
