A MAN has died after a crash in Coventry last night.
The collision involving a car and a van took place at 6.40pm at the junction of Leaf Lane and the A444.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a critical care car from the Air Ambulance.
The driver of the car had sustained life-threatening injuries and received advanced life support from crews at the scene.
Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.
A second man – the driver of the van – was assessed and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious.
He received treatment at the scene followed by self care advice from ambulance staff before being discharged at the scene.
