Man injured in Coventry shooting

A MAN had a lucky escape after suffering minor injuries in a shooting in Coventry.

It happened at 10.30pm on Saturday night on Fowler Road, close to the junction of Brightmere Road in Radford.

A bullet was shot at the window of a house and struck a 42-year-old man, injuring his hand.

The person who fired then left the scene in a dark car.




DS Nicholas McCullogh from West Midlands CID, moved to reassure the community, saying a thorough investigation was being carried out to find those responsible for the attack.

Officers carried out house-to-house enquiries on Sunday.
