Police are searching for a man who shot someone in broad daylight in Coventry last night.
The shot was fired on Cross Road only for the offender to escape the scene in a grey BMW.
The 28-year-old victim miraculously escaped with only a gun-shot wound to his hand.
Police say investigations to find the perpetrator remain on-going.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Police are investigating after a shooting took place in Coventry last night (Wednesday May 2).
“Officers were called to Cross Road just after 5.30pm to a reports of a man being shot in the hand.
“It is believed the offender fled the scene in a grey ’07’ plate BMW.
“The 28-year-old man was taken to hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening.
“Enquires remain on-going and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1798 of 2 May or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
