POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in his own home by a group of men.
The attack took place at 11.55pm on Tuesday, July 14 and saw four men, with their faces covered with scarves, force their way into the back of a property in Broome Croft, Holbrooks.
When confronted by the 23-year-old tenant, they attacked him with a knife, causing multiple stab wounds before stealing a mobile phone and a computer tablet.
DC Simon Cleal from Coventry’s acquisitive crime team, described it as ‘a nasty attack’ on a man while in his own home.
He added: “I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anyone acting suspiciously either before the break-in or after.”
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers, confidentially on 0800 555 111.
