A MAN suffered facial injuries during an unprovoked attack on a bus in Bedworth on Friday.

It happened around midday on the number 20 which was travelling to the town from Nuneaton.

The victim, who was in his 30s, got off the bus with a woman on Coventry Road, close to the Black Bank pub.

The person who carried out the assault was unknown to the victim, white, in his 20s, of slim build and was wearing a white jacket. He got off and headed towards Sainsbury’s.

Luckily the victim’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

But it was a vicious attack and Warwickshire Police want any witnesses, anyone who was a passenger on that bus or who has mobile footage of the incident to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
