A MAN has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in Stoney Stanton Road, Coventry.
The incident happened just after 4pm on Monday.
The injuries to the victim, who is in his 20s, are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police believe he was walking along the street when his attackers got out of a black Ford Puma, chased him down and assaulted him.
He sought safety in a nearby shop and as members of the community stepped in to help. The two attackers fled the area.
Coventry Police have stepped up patrols in and around the area as their enquiries continue.
And CCTV of the area is being reviewed.
Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information that could help the investigation to submit it via Live Chat at westmidlands.police.uk or by calling 101.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who was driving through the area and has dash cam footage and officers think there were people on the number 21 bus who would have seen what happened and may have pictures for footage.
