POLICE say they have arrested a wanted man in Coventry after a four-hour long stand-off.
Witnesses to the scene at Stretton Avenue, Willenhall, yesterday (May 11), reported a man hanging from an upstairs window at a block of flats brandishing a knife.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “Officers attended a property on Stretton Avenue, Coventry at 6am yesterday morning (May 11) to arrest a man wanted on recall to prison.
“On arrival the 22-year-old man stood on the window ledge with a knife and refused to come out of the property.
“Specialist negotiators were deployed and he has since been arrested and remains in police custody.”
