Manhunt for escaped prisoner with links to Coventry continues

A MANHUNT for an escaped prisoner serving a nine-year sentence for burglary, robbery and false imprisonment is continuing after police issued a fresh appeal.

Jason Sufi – who has links to Coventry – has not been seen since he absconded from HMP Springhill in Aylesbury on Wednesday, February 20.

Images of him have been released by Thames Valley Police in a bid to trace the convict.

A spokesperson said: “We are renewing our appeal for help to trace Sufi.

“He is known to frequent Oxford, Bicester, Reading and Coventry.

“Sufi is aged 39, white, about 5ft 6ins tall, with olive skin, dark hair and with a medium build.

“When he was last seen he was wearing a light blue tracksuit with socks over the bottoms.

“Sufi is serving a nine year indeterminate sentence for burglary, false imprisonment and robbery.

“If he is seen, call 999, quoting reference 819 (20/2), or if you have any information which you think could be relevant to our investigation, please contact the non-emergency number 101.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
