THREE masked men burst into a Coventry home, assaulted three women and stole the keys to a Volkswagen Golf GTD, a watch and a phone.

The trio knocked the door in Sewall Highway, Walsgrave, around 8.30pm last night (Thursday) before pushing their way inside.

They were armed with a knife and a metal bar which they used to cause damage to the property.

Fortunately the women were not seriously injured.

Det Sgt Stew Lewis from the West Midlands Police CID, appealed for anyone with any information or anyone who saw anything suspicious around that time or in the past few days to get in touch.

“You may have CCTV or dash-cam footage of some suspicious behaviour or know who was involved in yesterday’s traumatic raid.”

Enquiries are ongoing and any details people have can be submitted via live chat at west-midlands.police.uk or call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
