ONE of Coventry’s most historic buildings is hosting a week of Halloween-themed fun.
St Mary’s Guildhall will be transformed into the Ghostly Guildhall from October 25 to 31.
Visitors are invited to uncover chilling tales, discover hidden bones on a Halloween trail, and learn about the Guildhall’s fascinating and sometimes spooky history.
Youngsters can get stuck into Halloween-themed crafts, join one of the popular daily Halloween tours, and follow the Bone-tastic Trail in search for parts of the mysterious ‘Bobby Bones’.
On October 30 and 31, supernatural storytellers Mistress Moaning Mary and Wailing Willow will host a series of special ticketed events filled with games, crafts and not-too-scary tales from the past.
A children’s Halloween Afternoon Tea with Willow and Mary will be served in the atmospheric Tales of Tea restaurant on October 30 and 31.
Children are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite Halloween costumes.
Abi Moore, Heritage and Venue Manager at St Mary’s Guildhall, which is operated by No Ordinary Hospitality, said: “The Ghostly Guildhall brings hundreds of years of spooky tales to life with a fun and family-friendly twist, and we can’t wait to welcome witches, wizards, and curious kids of all ages this October half term.”
General admission charges apply for the Ghostly Guildhall experience from October 25 to 29, and advance booking is required for the Mistress Moaning Mary and Wailing Willow sessions on October 30 and 31.
