Mercia MS Therapy Centre on lookout for funds at fundraising event

Coventry Editorial 21st Aug, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

A FREE family fun day taking place on the bank holiday weekend is expected to raise hundreds of pounds for a popular city therapy centre.

The Mercia MS Therapy Centre, which has provided therapies to those in need for more than two decades, will be host to a bouncy castle, Minnie and Mickey Mouse and more at their Aldermans Green base.

Taking place on Sunday (August 28) from midday until 3pm, the centre will also welcome Lord Mayor of Coventry – Coun Lindsley Harvard – to the event.

Glitter tattoos, music, cake stalls, tombola stalls and lucky dips will help to raise further funds for the centre – and manager Zoe Seville-Edden is hoping free entry, parking, and tea and coffee will convince Coventrians to turn out in force.

She added: “We are delighted to be opening our doors to Coventry families to come and enjoy a fun afternoon at our centre.

“Our charity has been here for over 20 years, and there are still a lot of Coventry people who don’t know we are here.

“This is our chance to put our centre on the map.

“Proceeds from the stalls at the event will help us to provide therapies for local people with multiple sclerosis and children with cerebral palsy and autism.”

The event takes place at the Mercia Therapy Centre, 8 Macefield Close, CV2 2PJ.
