MORE than 50,000 people have received their Covid jabs at the vaccination hub in Stoneleigh.

Thousands of residents from across Coventry and Warwickshire received their vaccines at the NAEC Stoneleigh site.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership have hailed the figure as a ‘major milestone’ and say around 1,000 people a day have received their jabs at the site.

Assistant director of operations Rob Spencer says more people are now being invited to have their vaccine.

He said: “Invitations are now going out to people in Coventry and Warwickshire aged 50 to 54 to come and have their vaccine, in the latest stage of the programme.I want to urge anyone yet to be vaccinated to take up the offer.

“To reach 50,000 vaccinations is a wonderful achievement and really shows how much hard work and effort is being put into this rollout. This all means that a significant portion of the local community has been protected, so everyone at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust wants say a massive thank you to the staff and volunteers at Stoneleigh who have made this possible.”
