POLICE have launched a murder inquiry after a man found seriously injured died in Coventry.
West Midlands Police were called to Copland Place, Tile Hill, at 11.15pm yesterday (March 25) following reports of a disturbance.
A man in his 30s was found with injuries to his chest and died at the scene.
A post mortem will take place in due course.
The area has been cordoned off while forensic inquiries take place.
Superintendent Tom Chisholm from Force CID said: “The investigation is at an early stage, my officers are currently carrying out enquiries at the scene and house to house and CCTV.
“I would appeal for anyone who was in Tile Hill and who saw what happened or who has information to contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers confidentially on 0800 555 111.”
