FOUR people have been arrested as a murder investigation is launched in Kenilworth.
Police and paramedics responded to a call to a house in Chestnut Avenue just before midnight on Friday (March 20) where a man found in cardiac arrest died.
A 24-year-old man, a 49-year-old woman and 16-year-old male have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 72-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender
All four suspects are currently in custody.
The deceased’s next of kin has been informed.
Detective Superintendent Charlie Naughton said: “While I know this will cause shock in the local community, I’d like to reassure them there remains no risk to the wider public and we believe the incident was contained to the house.
“We’ve arrested four people in connection with the man’s death, and we’re continuing to question them as we try to work out exactly what happened.
“We’ll have officers in the area – carrying out further enquiries and providing reassurance – over the coming days, so if you have any questions, please speak to them.
“Equally, if you’ve got any information that could help our ongoing investigation and you haven’t already come forward, please tell us.”
