Coventry Music Museum Curator Pete Chambers BEM writes for the Observer.

Want to play a big festival?

Here’s your chance of playing the huge local Bigfoot Festival at Ragley Hall, just outside Stratford, taking place this June 18, 19 and 20.

Cov Kid and music consultant Jon Owen is part of the festival team and has contacted me to let Coventry and Warwickshire artists know they could be sharing the prestigious line-up with big bands like Primal Screen who are headlining.

The festival has just launched the following promotion for local bands to win the opportunity to play the main stage at Bigfoot.

Jon is hoping awesome bands in the Midlands who have been starved of gig opportunities for the last 12 months will take up the chance to apply.

The festival organisers are looking for the best emerging talent the Midlands has to offer! Is it you?

Live and Local will give two artists the chance to play on the main stage, alongside the likes of Primal Scream, Fat White Family, Hot Chip, Baxter Dury, Maribou State and many more.

Bigfoot Festival is all about discovering new, great things, and new talent is no exception.

How to enter:

Pa Salieu

Well, it just gets better and better for Coventry rapper Pa Salieu who was recently crowned The BBC Sound of 2021 and has now been nominated for a Rising Star BRIT award.

This is a real big deal for the man from Hillfields, he follows a line of amazing talent like Adele and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Sam Smith, Jessie J and Florence + the Machine who were all previous winners.

It will be so great to welcome this Cov star to the Coventry Music Museum when we are back open.
