MYTON HOSPICE nursing team are getting ready for the Glow for Myton event raising cash for the charity.
The race is set to start and finish at the HMV Empire Coventry on October, 19 with people walking, jogging, or dancing around the brand new 5km route.
A group of nurses from Coventry Myton Hospice Inpatient Unit including, Scarlett, Sapphire, Karen, Kerry M, Noelle, Tracie, Jo, Cheryl, Aggie and Kerry T, have all signed up for this years event.
Kerry Merry, Senior Staff Nurse, said: “We like to get together outside of work and have a laugh, and what better way to do that then by taking part in Glow for Myton.
“It’s great that we’re able to come together, dress in our best 80s attire and raise money for Myton.
“It’s a win-win.”
Cheryl Bell, nurse associate, added: “We all think it is really important to raise money for Myton as we see the impact Myton has on our patients and their families within our community.
“The care and support we provide is vital, allowing family members to stop being carers and enjoy the time they have with their loved ones.”
The Hospice is aiming to raise £57,000 in sponsorship which could fund it for 10 days.
