Myton Hospice to host trek around Indian Himalayas to raise cash

Holly Clement 27th Aug, 2024   0

THE MYTON Hospice is raising funds by hosting a trek around the Indian Himalayas for adventure seekers.

The journey begins in Delhi, before heading off the beaten path to the serene and majestic landscapes of the Indian Himalayas.

Participants will start and finish their adventure in Dharamsala – not only the base for the trek but also home to the Dalai Lama and the center of the Tibetan community in India.

The route winds along the Uhl River, through lush rhododendron and evergreen forests, passing Hindu settlements and isolated Buddhist monasteries.

Marc Dwyer, challenge events fundraiser at The Myton Hospices, said: “We are incredibly excited to offer this Indian Himalayas trek, giving you the opportunity to discover the world whilst raising vital funds for The Myton Hospices.

“This challenge is not just about the physical journey, but also about the impact you can make for those who need hospice care the most.”

The expedition is scheduled from October 10-21 2025.

Myton Hospices will be hosting virtual information evenings on August 29, and October 22.
