THE Archbishop of Canterbury’s time as a priest in Coventry and Warwickshire is the key focus of the first full length biography about the new head of the Church of England.
Archbishop Justin Welby: Risk-taker and Reconciler has been written by Andrew Atherstone and details the former Coventry Cathedral canon and rector of St James’ Church in Southam’s first 14 months in the church’s top job.
It includes interviews with many people close to the Archbishop such as his mother who also gave Mr Atherstone access to previously unseen family archives; and his predecessor Dr Rowan Williams, and reveals how his dad was once engaged to Vanessa Redgrave.
