COVENTRY’S first dedicated children’s role-play village has opened its doors in the Rialto Plaza to provide youngsters with a fun and immersive experience.
Little Lane Play Village was designed to encourage stimulating and meaningful play, with children able to enjoy discovering role-play situations centred on first-hand experiences.
The new venue also features a restaurant that serves hot and cold refreshments.
It offers nine different role-play locations, including a Village Store, Hospital, Vets, Police Station, Bakery, Farmyard and Construction Site.
And little ones can also take part in a Baby Sensory Area.
The centre was developed to allow children to learn through play and develop skills at their own pace.
A Little Play Village spokesperson said: “After spending countless weekends travelling outside of Coventry to take our little girl to various roleplay villages it suddenly dawned on us how amazing it would be to have a safe place for creative play closer to home.
“Our mission is to provide a friendly welcoming environment for children to play and explore, using their imaginations to become a doctor, police officers, farmers and much more.
“Our main goal is to ignite children’s imaginations, we want it to be a memory-making experience.”
The centre will be open between 9.30am and 5.15pm on non-school holiday weekdays with weekend and bank holiday sessions also available.
