NHS urging Coventry to donate blood

Coventry Editorial 30th Jun, 2022   0

NHS Blood and transplant are asking local people to donate blood, with plenty of sessions still available next week.

There is a session at Coventry Transport Museum on July 4, with only 65 per cent of the available slots filled.

There will also be a session at the Benn Hall in Rugby on July 6, which is only 40 per cent full.

High cancellations due to illness and the annual summer drop in donations have resulted in blood stock levels falling around the country.

People with O-positive blood types are particularly needed although all donors are welcome.

To make an appointment visit www.blood.co.uk, call 0300 123 23 23 or by downloading the NHS app.
