Nominate inspiring Sky blues fans to have their life captured through art

Coventry Editorial 11th Mar, 2023   0

INSPIRATIONAL Coventry City fans may have the chance to have their stories brought to life through portrait artwork.

Coventry Building Society is working with local artists to find eight fans who go above and beyond to help and improve the Sky Blue community.

The shortlisted stories will then be created in portrait form before being displayed as part of a special exhibition at the Coventry Building Society Arena ahead of the Sky Blues final home league game of the season against Birmingham City.

A selection panel will then select an overall winner to feature as the cover star on the Coventry City PUSB matchday programme.

Coventry Building Society’s senior sponsorship manager Jon Badger said: “Across the Sky Blues fan base, we know there are a huge number of supporters who go above and beyond for the benefit of their local community.

“In displaying their portraits at the final Coventry City home game of the season, it will allow the wider Sky Blues community to celebrate and thank these fans for their dedication.”

Supporters will be able to nominate their local hero until 5pm next Friday, March 17.

Email [email protected] with a 100-word submission on why their inspiring story should be brought to life as a portrait.
