THE Thrive at Work award has been given to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council in recognition of its wellbeing commitment to council employees.
After a review of the council it has been awarded the bronze award – 30 member of staff were interviewed before the award was given.
The report said ‘there is a clear commitment at senior level’ and all employees have access to trained Mental Health First Aiders.
Coun Steve Hey, portfolio holder for resources and customer service, said: “We are very proud to be recognised by receiving the Thrive at Work award.
“As an authority, we strive to make the borough a great place to live, work and visit, and the organisation itself is no exception.
“This achievement highlights the Borough Council’s ongoing commitment to its employees.”
Assessor Jenny Duggan, Thrive at Work Lead, in her report added: “The evidence provided and the interviews that were held all gave assurance that Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is fully committed to the wellbeing of its employees.
“Having carried out the accreditation process rigorously and in accordance with the Thrive at Work assessment criteria, I conclude that Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has achieved Bronze Level accreditation of the Thrive at Work Award.”
The next review is set to take place in August, 2027.
