AN ELDERLY woman was taken to hospital yesterday after she was hit by a car in Coventry city centre.
West Midlands Ambulance Service received a call at 1.35pm on Tuesday (April 19) afternoon following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
A woman in her 70s was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire with slight injuries to her wrist and knee.
The incident happened at the junction of Burges and Hales street – the same spot where pensioner David Thompson was killed in an incident in 2012 shortly after a shared space was created.
West Midlands Police also attended the scene.
