THE COVENTRY OBSERVER news team tasted success on Saturday as eight representatives from the paper and our sister papers at Bullivant Media took part in the Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice It’s a Knockout Challenge.
Featuring teams from across the city, the It’s A Knockout fundraising event raised more than £2,200 for the hospice with donations still being made.
The Observer team jumped, threw and skied their way to victory and finished just eight points ahead of their nearest competitors.
Team leader Shaun Reynolds said: “We all enjoyed a great day out and have collectively raised thousands of pounds for this fantastic cause at the same time.
“As a team, we’re still gathering donations and aim to raise £1,000 in the coming weeks.
“As Zoe’s Place media partners we couldn’t not enter the event – to win was fantastic and you can be sure we’ll be back to defend our title next year!”
