ONE MAN has died and another one has been seriously injured in a crash involving a car and a motorbike last night.

A 27-year-old and a 26-year-old were on a motorbike which collided with an Audi at 6.12pm in Exhall Green at the junction with School Lane

Two ambulances, two paramedic officers and the Critical Care Car from the Air Ambulance Service with a BASICS doctor and a paramedic onboard attended the scene.

When they arrived medics found two men were hurt – the motorcyclist had sustained life-threatening injuries and despite the best efforts of ambulance staff, nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second man, a passenger on the motorbike, received advanced trauma at the scene and was taken to University Hospital Coventry for further treatment with a BASICS doctor continuing treatment en route.

A 42-year-old man from Exhall has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He remains in custody.

Police enquiries into the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or either of the vehicles in the moments before.

They are also interested in any dash cam or CCTV footage from the area around that time.

Anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
