One Stop Mount Nod use KSI's Prime hydration drink to raise cash for Canley food hub

KIND-HEARTED staff from One Stop Mount Nod decided to use their supply of energy drink sensation ‘Prime’ to spread some positivity around Coventry, raising £280 for Canley food hub.

Shop manager Aman Uppal managed to get his hands on 48 bottles of the drink, which was introduced by Youtube sensations KSI and Logan Paul.

Prime has been a huge hit with children and teenagers, with some people across the UK claiming they have paid up to £100 for a bottle.

But Aman instead decided to give the drinks away for free in exchange for a charity donation.

He said: “We saw it as an opportunity to spread a bit of goodwill, a lot of our customers have been affected by the cost-of-living crisis so we thought we could do our bit to help while giving them a drink they’d like to try.

“We were overwhelmed with the response, the average amount of cash donated per person was £5 and since we sold out customers have been coming into the shop asking how else they could help.”

The cash raised was used to buy food and household goods which were donated to Canley Food Hub.

The hub is operated by the Canley community centre and relies on donations of food and other goods.

They enable those in need to pay a small sum to fill up bags of food and other supplies.

Aman found out about the food hub through customer and family friend Kim Gardner, who works at the food hub.

He added he wants to continue to help the food hub and was amazed so much good was achieved through ‘a few bottles of pop.’
