AROUND 450 cannabis plants were seized in operations across Bedworth and Nuneaton this week.

The Bedworth raid, executed on Tuesday (July 18), saw around 300 plants seized worth around £240,000, and two men were arrested.

Beqir Kola and Avel Dani, both aged 21 and of no fixed abode, were charged with the cultivation of cannabis.

They will both appear in Warwick Crown Court on August 17.

The Nuneaton raid was carried out the following day (July 19) and saw around 150 plants with an estimated street value of around £120,000 seized.

Chief Insp Steve Davies said: “Every cannabis plant off the street is another step towards ripping out organised crime in Warwickshire by the roots.

“We’re very happy with the results of the two warrants this week.”
