A HOUSING developer has bought a new parcel of land in Keresley, Coventry, paving the way for a new development of 40 homes, pending detailed planning permission.

Bellway South Midlands has purchased a 3.8-acre site just off Watery Lane, known as Rookery Farm, which borders the President Kennedy School and Community College campus, and Keresley Jubilee Wood.

Outline planning permission has been approved by Coventry City Council with Bellway now preparing to submit a reserved matters application in the coming weeks.

This proposed development, called Jubilee Green will comprise a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses with 10 allocated as affordable homes, and the rest sold privately.

The company has allocated £64,960 towards healthcare and £203,320 towards local education. If permission is granted construction work on the site is due to begin in 2022.
