Plans for £4.5 million transformation of Coventry trading estate given green light

Coventry Editorial 6th Feb, 2023   0

FULL planning permission for a £4.5million scheme transforming the Stonebridge trading estate to house up to nine businesses has been granted by Coventry city council.

Plans for the Rowley Drive site will see the current 34,000 sq ft unit be demolished.

This will make way for nine smaller units ranging between 1,500 sq ft and 5,000 sq ft in size.

The scheme will provide up to 50,000 sq ft of floor space and has been designed to meet rising market demand for smaller industrial units.

It is also part of wider regeneration plans in Whitley, with the site being across the A45 from Jaguar Land Rover’s headquarters, and is in close proximity to the proposed Gigafactory at Coventry Airport.

Work on site is expected to begin in the spring and is expected to be completed in 2024.
