Plans submitted for 82 affordable homes in Hawkesbury Village

Coventry Editorial 26th Feb, 2021   0

A PLAN for 82 affordable homes have been submitted for land off Stockley Road in Hawkesbury Village.

The £16million development proposals – now with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council – would see Vistry Partnerships work closely with a registered provider to deliver a mixture of homes for affordable rent and shared ownership.

Vistry Partnerships will also provide homes for open market sale utilising the Linden Homes (part of the Vistry Group) brand.

Andy Reynolds, from the Vistry Partnership, said: “Stockley Road forms a key part of our plans just five miles north of Coventry City Centre, and should the project be given the green light, it will help to bring dozens of affordable homes to the area for local people.”

The site has already been granted outline planning consent and the new proposals have been developed in line with this existing permission, close to the Hawkesbury Canal junction and part of the wider plans for the area.

A decision on the Stockley Road scheme is expected later this year, and should the plans be approved, Vistry will look to start work at the earliest opportunity.
