A HOST of activities are taking place at the Albany Theatre for the February half-term.
A children’s Pinocchio-themed puppet-making workshop, suitable for five to seven-year-olds runs from 10.30am to midday on Sunday, February 19.
Tickets for the hand or stick puppet-making session, led by a trained professional, are £7 each (including a drink or snack).
This event goes hand-in-hand with performances of Pinocchio at 1.30pm and 4pm on Tuesday, February 21.
The show sees Steve Tiplady, as Geppetto, using objects found in a carpenter’s workshop to tell the tale of the puppet that wants to be a real boy and the puppet-maker who wants to be a real father.
Pinocchio is carved on stage, brushes become a fox and the shadow of two saws transform into a giant shark.
Tickets are £12 with family discounts available.
Another creative workshop at The Albany on Sunday is the tiara and wand-making from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
This too is suitable for five to seven-year-olds with tickets (including a snack and a drink) at £7.
A Pop Princesses show takes centre stage at 6pm on Thursday, February 23.
The one hour, 50-minute show is suitable for all ages and features hits from artists such as Little Mix, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift.
Meghan Trainor and Miley Cyrus, along with songs from films and musicals.
Tickets are £18.50 for children and adults and £25 for VIP admission.
And Next Sunday, February 25, the Tap Factory comes to the venue on its 10th Anniversary Tour.
The show includes 12 oil barrels, one stepladder, four bins, a bucket and eight breath-taking male tap-dancers.
Tickets are between £21 and £27.
