COVENTRY Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted at the Pilot Hotel on November 29.

A group of men attacked another man at the premises at around 8.40pm, and he sustained ‘potentially life-changing injuries.’

Police said they want to speak to anyone who was there that night or may have witnessed the incident spill out onto the car park.

The assault’s severity has led to a review of the premises’ licence.

The Pilot Hotel is closed until a full licencing review can be carried out next month, at which point its future will be decided.

Anyone with information or phone footage should call 101 quoting incident number 20/993921/22.
