Police appeal for information after crash in Nuneaton

WARWICKSHIRE Police are appealing for a information after a collision in Nuneaton.

On Friday (July, 19) just after 10pm, officers were called to Pool Bank Street after reports of a traffic crash.

A Yamaha motorbike had allegedly crashed into a male pedestrian, leading to serious injuries and he was sent to hospital.

The driver reportedly then left the scene in a black Nissan Qashqai, with a male passenger – this male was reportedly later found to be in possession of an offensive weapon.

Two people have been arrested: an 18-year-old woman from Nuneaton on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving, and a 36-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both have been bailed pending further investigation.




Police are appealing for any information or evidence about the incident.
