Police appeal for victims of two Coventry city centre street robberies to come forward

Coventry Editorial 30th Dec, 2021   0

POLICE are trying to identify the victims of two street robberies within minutes of each other in Coventry city centre.

Officers received a report of a man being approached by youths who kicked out at him as they attempted to grab belongings on Queen Victoria Road at around 2.15am on December 10.

The same trio are then believed to have approached someone else in Corporation Street shortly afterwards.

After receiving the reports and viewing CCTV, Coventry Police have identified three suspects – all aged 16 – who were arrested on suspicion of robbery. The boys have since been bailed as enquiries continue.

But officers have been unable to identify and speak to the victims to obtain more information about what happened.

They are urged to contact police via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk or by calling 101.
